“Life goes on”

Maybe you are wondering why the title is “Life goes on”. This is the message from the novel “Mga Batang Poz” written by Segundo Matias Jr. Maybe some of you are shock because I already watched this online series. People says “You only watched it because there is a part of having sex. I didn’t know you’re into it”. But the real reason why I watched it is because I’m curious about it. It is about HIV awareness and what I like about the intro of each series, it has an information about the percentage of the people who has HIV.

According to the author, ” This book is not just about HIV awareness; it’s about hope. Even if you have HIV, you won’t die, you may continue to live and dream as long as you get tested and get proper treatment. Your only enemy is the stigma. The message of the novel is: Life goes on.”

Before, what I only know about HIV is about having a sexual intercourse with different people either same sex or opposite sex. And I thought that they will die sooner. But after watching this, I learned that they can live long as long as they get proper treatment.

In the story of Mga Batang Poz, each of them have a different story. The one is from a strict family, the other one is inlove with his bestfriend, the third is lack of attention and lastly, because of poverty. In the series, even their family are avoiding them because they thought it can easily spread from one person to another. I also learned that it can only spread mainly by having sex or sharing injection drug equipment, such as needles, with someone who has HIV.

Some people easily judge people with HIV. Maybe after watching this, they’ll understand the story behind it. Every people have different story so we shouldn’t judge it by how it looks outside. For the family who has a relative with HIV, you should help them and not to disgrace them.
